American Eagle Outfitters Inc. named Robert Madore finance chief, effective Oct. 28. He will succeed Scott Hurd, who has served as interim chief financial officer of the Pittsburgh-based apparel retailer since April. Mr. Hurd will remain with the company as its accounting chief. Mr. Madore most recently was CFO of clothier Ralph Lauren Corp.

State Street Corp., the Boston financial-services firm, named Eric Aboaf finance chief. It said the Citizens Financial Group Inc. CFO will join State Street in December as executive vice president and a member of its management committee. He will succeed current CFO Mike Bell in March.

BlackBerry Ltd., the Waterloo, Ontario, smartphone maker, named Steven Capelli CFO, effective this month. He was previously president for world-wide field operations at SAP SE unit Sybase. BlackBerry said current CFO James Yersh is leaving for personal reasons.

SolarCity Corp., the San Mateo, Calif., alternative-energy company, promoted Radford Small to finance chief. He was named executive vice president of global capital earlier this year, after joining the company in 2015. He was previously chief operating officer of the clean technology and renewables group at Goldman Sachs Group. SolarCity said its president, Tanguy Serra, who oversaw finance, will leave at year-end, following its anticipated acquisition by Tesla Motors Inc.

CBOE Holdings Inc., the Chicago securities exchange, said Alan Dean will remain finance chief of the company after its pending acquisition of Bats Global Markets Inc. A Bats spokesman couldn't say what, if any, role its CFO, Brian Schell, would play in the combined company.

Zynga Inc., the San Francisco mobile-videogame maker, named Gerard Griffin CFO. The Electronic Arts Inc. veteran will succeed Michelle Quejado, filling a nearly yearlong vacancy for a permanent CFO. Ms. Quejado, formerly interim CFO, will vacate the role but remain with Zynga in the finance department.
