Frank Henze Joins State Street Global Advisors as Head of SPDR® Exchange Traded Funds, Asia-Pacific

State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), the investment management
business of State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT), today announced
the appointment of Frank Henze to a newly-created role, head of
Exchange Traded Funds, Asia Pacific.
Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Henze has oversight of SSgA’s regional
ETF expansion strategy, with a focus on increasing the size and
visibility of SSgA’s range of SPDR® ETFs in Asia Pacific. He
reports to Bernard Reilly, head of SSgA’s business in Asia Pacific
and James Ross, senior managing director and global head of
Exchange Traded Funds at State Street Global Advisors.

said Mr. Reilly. “His vast experience in strategic planning and
product development will drive the expansion of our ETF team as
well as our SPDR product footprint in Asia Pacific, and we’re

Mr. Henze joins SSgA from HSBC where he was responsible for
Global ETF Product Development. Prior to this experience, he spent
five years with iShares in Europe, where he last served as European
head of Product Development.
SSgA introduced ETFs in Asia Pacific in 1999 when it launched
the Tracker Fund of Hong Kong (ticker: 2800). Since then, SSgA has
introduced Australia’s first ETF, the SPDR S&P®/ASX 200 Fund
(ticker: STW) and Singapore’s first ETF, the streetTRACKS® Straits
Times Index Fund (ticker: STTP). Today it has 12 ETFs listed across
four Asia Pacific markets – Hong Kong, Australia, Japan and
Singapore. Earlier this year, SSgA enhanced its SPDR family of ETFs
in Asia Pacific with the launches of SPDR® FTSE® Greater China ETF
(ticker: 3073) on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd, and SPDR®
MSCI® Australia Select High Dividend Yield Fund (ticker: SYI) on
the Australian Securities Exchange.
