Here are some of the companies with shares expected to trade
actively in Thursday's session. Stock movements noted by ticker
reflect movements during regular trading hours; premarket trading
is specified separately.
Procter & Gamble, Kimberly Clark and Union Pacific publish
results today.
Southwest Airlines : U.S. air-safety regulators likely acted
improperly in the way they authorized the carrier to begin flights
between California and Hawaii last year, according to a government
agency. The airline posts earnings today, along with other
airlines, including American Airlines and JetBlue Airways.
PG&E : The utility said Wednesday it has reached a new deal
with bondholders that threatened opposition to its strategy for
getting out of bankruptcy, but friction continues with California
Gov. Gavin Newsom, who has threatened a state takeover of the
troubled utility.
Chip giant Intel reports after markets close.
