Country music star headliner Chris Young to
perform
The Brian Gay Invitational returns to the Diamond Resorts
International® Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf Club this December
12th - 14th to benefit Florida Hospital for Children and includes a
weekend full of fun and activities including two world-class golf
tournaments, trips to Orlando theme parks for non-golfers and
families and a private concert featuring country music star Chris
Young. Over 30 celebrity and sports figures will join Diamond
Resorts’ business partners to have some fun and raise much-needed
funds for this very important cause while experiencing first-hand
what it means to Stay Vacationed.™ This event is possible through
the generosity of Diamond Resorts’ business partners, team members
and other supporters of Florida Hospital.

Participants will get the opportunity to add a celebrity to
their foursome for Saturday’s celebrity/amateur tournament. The
2014 celebrity field includes hall of fame athletes Reggie Jackson,
Gaylord Perry, Richard Dent and George Gervin, and 1980 U.S. Hockey
Gold Medal winner, Mike Eruzione, who will compete on the renowned
Mystic Dunes Golf Course, ranked #2 on “Orlando’s Top Five Golf
Courses” by Floridagolfguide.com.
While golfers compete on the course, families are invited to
spend the day at one of Orlando’s world-class theme parks. After
the gala dinner, awards ceremony and live auction on December 13,
participants will be treated to an exclusive concert by one of
country music’s hottest performers, Chris Young. Recently selected
by Country Weekly as “Country Music’s Sexiest Man,” the
Grammy-nominated Young’s latest album A.M. features chart-topping
hits “Aw Naw,” “Who I Am With You,” and “Lonely Eyes,” which the
singer recently performed on the Late Show With David
Letterman.
The culminating event of the weekend will be Sunday’s Diamond
Resorts Celebrity Invitational, where participating celebrities
will compete head to head in Celebrity and PGA Tour Player
categories. Former Super Bowl XXVI MVP Mark Rypien and PGA Tour
player Nick O’Hern return to defend their titles.
“Being able to offer two world-class golf competitions, on such
a beautiful and challenging course as Mystic Dunes Golf Course, and
bringing together such accomplished athletes and musicians for a
fantastic weekend among family and friends allows Diamond Resorts
to make a real difference in the lives of children,” said Michael
Flaskey, executive vice president, chief sales and marketing
officer, Diamond Resorts International®. “It is our honor to help
raise funds for such a worthy cause. Thanks to the generosity of
our participants and sponsors, we hope to build on last year’s
success.”
As a company dedicated to the understanding that taking
vacations is beneficial to people’s health, happiness and
relationships with their loved ones, Diamond Resorts presents
events like these as an opportunity for families to spend valuable
time together creating memories while at the same time helping
others. Last year’s Brian Gay Invitational raised more than
