ConAgra Foods Names Interim CFO; Search Underway to Fill Position

ConAgra Foods, Inc. (NYSE: CAG), one of North America�s leading
packaged food companies, today announced that John Gehring, senior
vice president and controller, will serve as acting chief financial
officer for the company following current CFO Frank Sklarsky�s
departure on Oct. 6. ConAgra Foods announced earlier this year that
Sklarsky would leave the company. He will fill the CFO position at
Kodak. �I�d like to thank Frank for all that he�s done for ConAgra
Foods,� said CEO Gary Rodkin. �We wish him all the best at Kodak.
While Frank was here, we were able to develop significant bench
strength on our finance team, which will ensure a smooth leadership
transition. I also want to express my appreciation to John for
taking on this temporary role until we find our new CFO.� Gehring�s
interim position is effective Oct. 7, and he�ll remain in the role
while the company continues its search for Sklarsky�s replacement.
Gehring joined the company in 2002 as vice president of Internal
Audit and became senior vice president in 2003. In July 2004,
Gehring was named senior vice president and controller. Prior to
joining ConAgra Foods, Gehring was a partner at Ernst & Young
