The T9840C brings the advantage of doubling the capacity on 9840 media. StorageTek also offers its T9940B tape drives for use with VSM. The T9940B brings the highest capacity cartridge of any drive with a virtual storage solution. Used together or separately, these two drives reduce costs by reducing media and library slot requirements.
