LOUIS, Feb. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) today appointed Jesse Hunter as Executive Vice President of Operations. Mr. Hunter has been with Centene since 2002. "As the company continues to explore growth opportunities, this new alignment ensures the coordination of our business development," said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Michael Neidorff.  

Those reporting directly to Mr. Hunter are Mark Eggert, EVP, Health Plan Business Unit; Jason Harrold, SVP, Specialty Business Unit; Brent Layton, SVP Business Development and Patricia Darnley, SVP Network Development.

SVP Aparna Abburi will assume responsibility of Hunter's current duties overseeing Corporate Development and will report to him.

The business development realignment is effective immediately.
