Walgreens Boots Alliance Accelerates Investment in VillageMD

Walgreens Boots Alliance accelerated its investment in
VillageMD, planning to open 600 to 700 Village Medical at Walgreens
primary care clinics within the next four years.
In July, WBA said it would invest $1 billion in equity and debt
in VillageMD over three years, including an initial $250 million
equity investment.
The companies said Wednesday that they renegotiated their
agreements and the remaining $750 million investment has been
completed.
Earlier Wednesday, WBA said it agreed to sell the majority of
its pharmacy wholesale unit to AmerisourceBergen Corp.
