TechTarget to Launch Operations in India

Technology media company TechTarget, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTGT) today announced the launch of its operations in India.

�We already have a strong Indian audience,� said TechTarget CEO Greg Strakosch. �We�ve seen increased technology vendor demand for targeted media solutions in the Indian market. We�re responding to that demand with local editorial leadership and new Indian-market targeted websites.�

Today TechTarget announced that it had hired veteran IT marketer and editor Sandeep Ajgaonkar to head up TechTarget�s Indian operations and had received government approval for an Indian branch of TechTarget.

Ajgaonkar has more than 10 years of experience in the Indian IT market at Indian Express�s business publications unit, CNet India, Times of India and Adfactors Public Relations high tech practice. TechTarget plans to launch three websites this year; SearchCIO.in�, SearchDataCenter.in� and SearchSecurity.in� They will offer original news, technical features, expert advice, case studies, white papers, industry analysis, and product reviews to assist India�s IT professionals as they conduct pre-purchase research and develop their technical skills.
