Myfidelio.net Powers Nordic Airlink's Hotel Booking Engine
STOCKHOLM, Sweden, May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Nordic Airlink, the Low
Cost Carrier (LCC) of Finnair, signed a co-operation agreement with
Myfidelio.net, a subsidiary of MICROS Systems, Inc. , under which
myfidelio.net will power the hotel booking engine available on the
Nordic Airlink website http://www.flynordic.com/. "As a general
sales agent, it is very important for Nordic Airlink to follow the
trends of the travel and hospitality industries, especially when
these trends dictate a new way to handle and operate distribution
services. The booking functionality provided by Myfidelio.net via
the Nordic Airlink portal offers flexibility and creativity beyond
industry standards currently being practiced," stated Johnny
Gardesater, Administrative Director of TMS Ab, the company that
delivers flight tickets and voice services for Nordic Airlink.
"Myfidelio.net enhances our product offering and allows Nordic
Airlink to serve its customers better," said Krister Aarnio, Vice
President of Nordic Airlink. "Being a Low Cost Carrier does not
prevent Nordic Airlink from offering the latest advancements in
technology. As with our flights, an efficient and real-time booking
engine is crucial to our success and continued growth.
Myfidelio.net has a similar business model and provides access to
more than 700 hotels in Scandinavia and more than 1,900 hotels
around the world. We believe that our combined product offering
will make Nordic Airlink an excellent partner for the business
community and hotel industry in Scandinavia." "Myfidelio.net has
been serving the Scandinavian hotel market since 1985 with a
product distribution solution, and was the first company to
introduce transaction based pricing without sales and marketing or
brochure representation," added Ari-Pekka Heiskala, Managing
Director of Myfidelio.net EAME. "One could describe Myfidelio.net
as a Low Cost Product Distribution Provider that has its focus on
high quality customer service and very cost effective rates. Thus,
we find that the Nordic Airlink and Myfidelio.net partnership is
very complementary." About Nordic Airlink Nordic Airlink is one of
the largest low cost carrier in the Nordic Countries and 85 percent
