Fairchild Semiconductor (NYSE: FCS) today announced that Matthew W. Towse has resigned his position as senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective immediately. Mr. Towse will remain with the company in an advisory role until December 31, 2005 to help ensure a smooth transition. "Matt has been with the company in a number of financial roles for over 14 years, and the company recognizes Matt's dedication, commitment, and contributions to the company during this time. Cumming, vice president of business finance, will assume the duties of the CFO's office, with Robin serving as interim principal financial officer until a search for a new CFO is completed.
