Digirad Corporation (NASDAQ: DRAD) today announced that it has received Conformite Europeene (CE) Mark approval enabling the Company to market and distribute its ergo™ large field-of-view, general-purpose portable imaging system throughout Europe and other countries governed by the CE body.

Digirad's ergo imaging system ushers in a new era of freedom for nuclear medicine. The large field, solid-state portable device makes it possible to "image without boundaries" for a diverse range of procedures in many areas of the hospital. The ergo's unique ergonomic, lightweight portable design enables imaging to be performed in the nuclear department and in other locations in the hospital, including the ICU, CCU, OR, ER, pediatrics, trauma units, patient floors, ambulatory services, women's health and research areas.

Digirad CEO Todd P. Clyde stated, "The ergo imaging system provides institutions with the means to dramatically reduce costs for many procedures, improve patient satisfaction, raise productivity and flexibility, and generate revenues from new procedures -- all critical considerations for international hospitals today."

The Company reported that it had received its first European order for an ergo imaging system and that it will begin commercializing the camera in Europe in early 2011.

Mr. Clyde continued, "We anticipate our first ergo imaging system installation being in the first quarter of 2011, with other international locations following during this year and beyond."
