Company Expands Distribution Team in Key Overseas Markets WESTFORD, Mass., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cynosure, Inc. (NASDAQ:CYNO), a leading developer and manufacturer of a broad array of light-based aesthetic treatment systems, today announced the appointment of John F. Lenihan, 50, to the new position of Vice President of International Distribution. "John will be responsible for managing and developing our international distributor business with a particular emphasis on Europe and the Middle East," said Cynosure President and CEO Michael Davin. "With 20 years of medical device industry experience, John has the ideal background to help expand Cynosure's footprint within key global markets. The addition of John to our senior team completes the recent expansion of our global distribution organization, which includes the promotion of Stephen Lim to Vice President of International Distribution for the Asia Pacific region." Before joining Cynosure, Lenihan worked for six years as director for international distribution at aesthetic laser company Cutera, Inc., where his territory included Europe, the Middle East, India, Pakistan, Africa and certain countries in Southeast Asia. Prior to that he was director of international sales and marketing for Diomed Ltd., a medical laser manufacturer. From 1986 to 1998 he was promoted to positions of increasing responsibility at laser manufacturer Coherent Medical, moving from U.K. sales and marketing manager to director of U.K. operations and, ultimately, general manager for Europe. In that role he oversaw direct distribution offices in Germany, France, the U.K. and Scandinavia as well as a third-party distribution network in other regions.
