CME Group Inc. (CME) said Wednesday that floor trading won't start until 10 a.m. CST as Chicago deals with the aftermath of the largest snowstorm in more than 40 years.

Open outcry trading on the floor of the world's largest future exchange normally runs from 7:20 a.m. CST for its key financial contracts and from 9:30 a.m CST for the largest agricultural products such as corn.

CME cited weather and travel issues for the delay in a message to traders. Trading on its electronic Globex and ClearPort platforms is not affected.
