April 09 2008 - 8:00AM
Marketwired
MUNICH, GERMANY , the leader in global electronic design
innovation, today announced details of the first of its five
worldwide user conferences to take place in 2008 -- the CDNLive!
EMEA conference, to be held April 28 - 30 in Munich, Germany.
In its third year, the CDNLive! EMEA conference (Europe, Middle
East and Africa) will host keynote presentations by Mike Fister,
president and CEO of Cadence, and Prof. Dr. Mario Theissen,
director with BMW Motorsport. The conference, sponsored by the
Cadence Designer Network, brings together electronics designers and
engineers that use Cadence technologies and services to discuss and
learn more about the latest solutions and best practices for
addressing today's design challenges.
Hundreds of unique user-authored papers addressing all aspects
of logic design, verification, implementation, custom design,
package design, and PCB design were submitted for review and
presentation at CDNLive! in Munich. More than 60 technical papers
were selected for inclusion in the final agenda.

"The idea behind CDNLive! and the Cadence Designer Network is to
offer a conference that gives customers the opportunity to exchange
personal experiences with other users and Cadence developers
alongside a comprehensive technical program," Alexander Duesener,
Cadence group marketing director EMEA, said. "CDNLive! is the ideal
platform for the users of our technologies to immerse themselves in
new approaches and learn about innovative strategies and tactics to
help solve design challenges."
An additional highlight of this year's conference is the
announcement of the winners of the student design contest, which
was introduced at last year's CDNLive! EMEA. More than 15
international teams submitted their innovative design projects, and
the five finalists were invited to present their projects in front
of a jury of university professors and Cadence employees. The
winning team will be announced during the conference.
Furthermore, conference attendees are invited to visit over 15
companies and explore new solutions that were developed jointly
with Cadence at an exhibition accompanying the event.
The CDNLive! conferences are annual events and are held
worldwide. The conference in Munich will be followed by ones in
Beijing (July 15), Tokyo (July 17-18), San Jose (Sept. 9-11), and
Bangalore (Oct. 16-17).
