TUCSON, Ariz., May 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AudioEye®, Inc.
(OTCBB: AEYE), the creators of the Audio Internet™, the patented
audio browsing and automated publishing technology, announced today
it has completed the deployment of a range of systematic invention
and IP strengthening methods in preparation for an expanded IP
effort. AudioEye's strategic Intellectual Property (IP) expansion
project and IP monetization effort will be focused on accelerating
the expansion of AudioEye's growing IP portfolio. AudioEye
will now begin to execute its strategic plan through an internal
invention process that will expand its IP holdings with an eye
towards adjacent IP acquisition, licensing and portfolio
monetization.
AudioEye's internal IP development activities yielded issuances
on October 23, 2012 of U.S. Patent
#8,296,150 "System and Method for Audio Content Navigation" and on
September 4, 2012 U.S. Patent
#8,260,616 "System and Method for Audio Content Generation."
The company has studied the resulting claims and their market
impact and has filed the international counterparts of these
issuances. The company believes, based on 3rd party data
and professional consultation, that its already issued patents have
significant value as a barrier to entry for AudioEye's
competitors.
"The enhancement and improvement of our patent portfolio is
essential to our continued success in tandem with our investment in
our platform development," stated Nathaniel
Bradley, Chief Executive Officer of AudioEye, Inc.
"Portfolio growth will continue at AudioEye through our invention
processes that we are accelerating. Licensing opportunities will be
driven in the future by the quality of our assets and enhanced
through a comprehensive strategy that we will continue to execute
with best-in-class IP counsel, licensing partners, and our own
leading technology team of experts skilled in reducing our
inventions to practice for our publishing customers."
AudioEye's Chief Technology Officer, Sean Bradley stated, "Our IP assets being
foundational within an emerging and highly scalable marketplace
creates a specific IP value protection responsibility, growth
opportunity and significant stewardship burden that are
increasingly important as aspects of AudioEye's forward management
and value. The AudioEye platform brings the dialogue and human
voice, we believe, that we've all been waiting for. Our technology
licensing will provide for the breadth and depth in our adoption
cycle across industries and verticals we could not otherwise
service. We're building AudioEye to accommodate this scale with the
big picture in mind."
