Astronics Corp. (ATRO) said Sunday that Honda Aircraft Co. has
chosen it to supply power and heat-control installations for the
HondaJet advanced light business jet.
The East Aurora, N.Y., company added that it will provide its
EmPOWER System and its Windshield Heat Controller as standard
installations on the HondaJet, Honda Motor Co.'s (HMC, 7267.TO)
first commercial aircraft.
"The HondaJet is an efficient, fast and technologically advanced
aircraft and we are extremely pleased to have our power solutions
on this innovative aircraft. We believe our unique product
solutions, superior design and responsive service were drivers of
Honda's selection of Astronics," said Astronics President and Chief
Executive Peter J. Gundermann in a statement.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The aircraft is scheduled for first delivery in 2012.
