As noted at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week, these speeds are critical to ensure cable operators maintain a competitive offering with which to combat telco fiber solutions. Consumers demanding such advanced capabilities will also demand converged and simple-to-use home devices from their service providers. The TM702 EMTA enables MSOs to cost-effectively deliver on this expectation by bundling two lines of carrier grade VoIP telephone service with DOCSIS 3.0 bonded channel ultra high-speed capability. As MSOs continue to accelerate the roll out of triple play packages to their most valuable customers, the business case advantages of an integrated voice and data premises device becomes ever more compelling.
