Russert talked to students about his experiences covering the 2008 historic presidential election and the impact the Millennial Generation can make on the world as the largest and most diverse generation in American history. He also had an intimate small group discussion about the political process and his career with college students also in attendance. Students attending this program heard from political strategist David Plouffe as well, best known as the chief campaign manager for Barack Obama's 2008 unprecedented presidential campaign. Plouffe discussed how he and his innovative team used technology to engage younger voters.
