Kitty Hawk Appoints Melvin L. Keating to Board of Directors

Kitty Hawk, Inc. (AMEX:KHK) announced today the appointment of
Melvin L. Keating, 59, to serve as a director on Kitty Hawk's Board
of Directors. Mr. Keating's appointment increases Kitty Hawk's
Board from six directors to seven. In March 2006, Mr. Keating was
appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance
Semiconductor Corporation (Nasdaq:ALSC) after serving as interim
President and CEO since October 2005. Previously, Mr. Keating
served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and
Treasurer of Quovadx, Inc. (Nasdaq:QVDX). In addition, Mr. Keating
has served as a strategy consultant to Warburg Pincus Partners, a
private equity and venture capital firm, President and CEO of
Sunbelt Management, an owner and manager of commercial and retail
properties and the largest landlord of Target Stores, and Senior
Vice President-Finance & Administration of Olympia & York
Companies. In addition to the Kitty Hawk Board, Mr. Keating serves
on the Board of Directors of Plymouth Rubber Company and previously
served on the Board of Directors of Price Legacy Corporation, a
Real Estate Investment Trust. He holds two Masters degrees from the
University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School and a B.A. from Rutgers
