Estee Lauder Cos. (EL) said sales from its skin-care segment drove its top line higher in fiscal year 2019.

Sales from skin care rose 17% from a year ago, led by its eponymous brand and La Mer. Estee Lauder and La Mer products had double-digit sales growth across all regions.

This was followed by sales from its makeup segment, which grew by 4%. Higher net sales from Estee Lauder, MAC, Tom Ford Beauty and La Mer pushed sales higher for the segment, though it was partially offset by lower sales from Clinique and Smashbox.
