Shares of PG&E Corp. (PCG) were down 30% to $22.91 in heavy volume Wednesday. PG&E said in a securities filing Tuesday that equipment owned by California's largest utility company appeared to have malfunctioned in an area where a wildfire started last week. PG&E said that if the company's equipment is determined to be the cause, it would face potential liabilities beyond its insurance coverage. (michael.dabaie@wsj.com)
