Codemasters Group Holdings PLC (CDM.LN) said Wednesday that three upcoming PC videogames titles will be published in China by Netease Inc. (NTES) as part of a strategic partnership between the two businesses.

The U.K. videogame developer and publisher said NetEase--a Beijing-based, Nasdaq-listed internet-technology company--will invest in marketing and localizing the games and will also be responsible for obtaining necessary regulatory approvals in China. Revenue resulting from this agreement will be shared between the parties, Codemasters said.

The partnership will start with Codemasters' DiRT Rally 2.0, the company said.

China is the world's biggest gaming market and presents a major growth opportunity for Codemasters, the company said.

Shares at 0859 GMT were up 6.8% at 164 pence.
