Vinci SA (DG.FR) said Thursday that its subsidiary Vinci Construction Terrassement won a contract to build a section of a new high-speed rail line in Germany.

The French company said the contract, to construct a section between Stuttgart Airport and the city of Wendlingen, is worth 55 million euros ($67.6 million) and will take 24 months to complete.

The high-speed rail line will connect the cities of Stuttgart and Ulm.

Vinci said the contract comes under Stuttgart 21, one of the biggest work sites currently under way in Germany.
