Wai Lee Joins Wells Fargo Asset Management as Global Head of Research, Multi-Asset Solutions Team

Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM) announced today that Wai Lee
will join the firm in February as global head of research with the
Multi-Asset Solutions team.
Based in New York, Wai comes to Wells Fargo from Neuberger
Berman, where he was head of quantitative investments. Previously,
Wai was head of the quantitative engineering group at Credit Suisse
Asset Management. He joined Credit Suisse in 2000 from J.P. Morgan
Investment Management, where he was in charge of quantitative
research and risk management for the global balanced group. Before
joining the investment industry, he was a postdoctoral research
fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Business.

Wai is the author of the book Theory and Methodology of Tactical
Asset Allocation, and he has contributed chapters to other books on
different topics. He has served on the advisory board of The
Journal of Portfolio Management since 1997. Wai’s research won the
Peter L. Bernstein Award in 2012; the Bernstein Fabozzi/Jacobs Levy
Award from the Institutional Investor Journals in 2011 for Best
Article of the Year; and Outstanding Article of the Year in The
Journal of Portfolio Management in 2010 and 2012. Wai earned a
bachelor’s degree with honors in mechanical engineering from the
University of Hong Kong and a master’s degree in business
administration and a doctoral degree in finance from Drexel
University.
