TORONTO, May 25, 2017 /CNW/ - Invesco Canada ("Invesco")
today announced modifications to its lineup of mutual funds.
Invesco regularly conducts reviews of its products to ensure they
continue to meet the evolving needs of advisors and investors.
Proposed fund merger
Invesco proposes to merge Invesco
Emerging Markets Debt Fund (the "Terminating Fund") into Invesco
Global Bond Fund, effective the close of business on July 28, 2017. The merger requires approval of
unitholders of the Terminating Fund (other than Series D and
Series PTFU, which will be terminated immediately prior to the
merger), and unitholders will be asked to vote at a special meeting
to be held in Toronto on
July 24, 2017. Further details will
be provided to investors in a proxy package that will be mailed in
June and in a management information circular that will be
available online. The Invesco Canada Funds' Independent Review
Committee has reviewed this proposed merger with respect to
conflict-of-interest matters and has determined that the merger
achieves a fair and reasonable result for investors.
Series terminations
In addition to Series D and Series
PTFU of the Terminating Fund, Invesco will terminate the following
series (together, the "Terminating Series") on the close of
business on July 28, 2017:
- Invesco Core Canadian Balanced Class, Series T8
- Invesco Global Real Estate Fund, Series T8
- Invesco Intactive Growth Portfolio, Series T8
- Invesco Intactive Growth Portfolio Class, Series T8
- Invesco Intactive Maximum Growth Portfolio, Series T8
- Invesco Intactive Maximum Growth Portfolio Class, Series
T8
- Invesco Select Canadian Equity Fund, Series T8 and Series
T6
- Trimark Canadian Class, Series T8 and Series T6

Effective immediately, the Terminating Series are closed to new
investors. Only investors that hold such securities may continue to
purchase them in an account that already holds such securities.
