Annual reconstitution of the Russell US indexes captures the 4,000 largest US stocks as of the end of May, ranking them by total market capitalization. It represents a subset of approximately 2,000 small-cap companies in the Russell 3000® Index and serves as a benchmark for small-cap stocks in the United States.
