A General Motors Co. employee was stabbed at the company's tech
center in Warren, Mich., and was taken to the hospital on
Wednesday, a company spokesman said.
The spokesman said the attacker was not an GM employee and that
attacker is now in custody. He declined to release the names of
either party.
According to a televised news report citing an interview with
Warren Mayor Jim Fouts and city officials, the attacker was a
female who went into a building on the campus and asked to speak to
a female employee. When the employee came outside, the attacker
stabbed her several times, the televised report said.
Mr. Fouts told Detroit-based WJBK television that the incident
is considered isolated and likely the first of its kind at GM's
tech center, which is one of the biggest businesses in Warren.
