InterDigital to Demonstrate M2M Developments at First ETSI and TTA Sponsored oneM2M Interop Event
September 21 2015 - 8:46PM
InterDigital, Inc. (Nasdaq:IDCC), a mobile technology research and
development company, today announced the upcoming participation by
its InterDigital Labs group at the first oneM2M™ Interop Event
sponsored by ETSI and TTA on September 14-16, 2015, in Sophia
Antipolis, France. The participation will include joint
testing to verify multi-vendor interoperability of InterDigital’s
oneMPOWER™ Platform with other participants that include, among
others, Cisco, HERIT, Huawei, KETI, Ricoh and Qualcomm.
The oneM2M Interop Event is an opportunity for technologists,
telecom operators, technology vendors, Machine-to-Machine (M2M)
service providers and consumer businesses involved with intelligent
transportation, healthcare, utilities and smart homes to come
together and test the interoperability of their solutions powering
the M2M market. oneM2M, the global standards initiative for
M2M and Internet of Things (IoT), aims to develop common technical
specifications that provide a framework for devices, applications
and servers to communicate and share information regardless of
transport network.
In coordination with the event, InterDigital has made its
Dissector for Wireshark publicly available to oneM2M developers,
free of charge. Wireshark® is a network protocol analyzer
used across many industries and by educational institutions to
capture, filter, observe and decode hundreds of different
protocols. With InterDigital’s Dissector, Wireshark can now
be used to decode oneM2M protocol. The current version of
InterDigital’s Dissector supports the oneM2M Release 1 bindings for
both HTTP and CoAP. To download InterDigital’s Dissector,

“The oneM2M Interop event showcases how the global oneM2M
standard facilitates interoperability, which can deliver tremendous
business value,” said Byung K. Yi, Executive Vice President,
InterDigital Labs, and Chief Technology Officer at InterDigital.
“As a major contributor to the industry standards process and a
pioneer in standards-based M2M technology, participation in the
development of oneM2M provides InterDigital with another
opportunity to collaborate among other industry leaders.”
The oneM2M Interop event also kicks off a demonstration series
for InterDigital’s standards-based IoT solutions. The company
will demonstrate oneM2M-based interconnected IoT devices and
platforms at IoT Week on October 26-28, 2015, in Seoul, Korea, and
at the oneM2M Showcase Event on December 9, 2015, in Sophia
Antipolis, France.
