EDMONTON, Aug. 22, 2014 /CNW/ - Dalmac Energy
Inc. ("Dalmac") (TSX Venture "DAL") is pleased to
announce the appointment of Jonathan
Gallo, of Edmonton,
Alberta, to be its Chief Financial Officer, effective
immediately.
Jonathan Gallo, CA, MBA brings over 5 years of financial
management, accounting and assurance related experience to
Dalmac. Mr. Gallo is currently the Principal of a full
service Chartered Accounting firm servicing companies predominantly
in the Alberta oil and gas market,
and provides accounting, assurance, tax and business advisory
services to owner managed businesses, individuals and
not-for-profit entities throughout Western Canada. Prior to
leading his own firm, Mr. Gallo articled and worked at both a large
national accounting firm and a prominent regional accounting firm
as a Chartered Accountant. While at the large national
accounting firm, he worked as an auditor on public companies and
large private corporations mostly operating in the Alberta oil and gas market.
Jonathan holds a Masters of Business Administration from
Athabasca University and sits on
the Board of Directors of Mountain Equipment Cooperative ("MEC"),
which has annual sales of over $325 million
dollars. His duties on the Board include chairing the
Finance and Audit Committee, while concurrently serving on both the
Human Resources and Sustainability committees. He has been on
the Board of MEC since 2011. In addition to the foregoing, Jonathan
is also a decorated Army officer with over 16 years of leadership
experience as an Infantry officer. He has served around the
world, including multiple global deployments.
