MALVERN, Pa., July 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- HMP, a
leader in healthcare events and education, today announced the
Community Oncology Alliance (COA) as an official partner of the
Oncology Clinical Pathways Congress, taking place October 11-13, 2019 in Boston.
Launched in 2016, the Congress is the official meeting of the
Journal of Clinical Pathways and focuses on the expansion of
clinical pathways as a decision support tool and their increasing
influence on patient care. The three-day meeting serves as a forum
for stakeholders from all stages of the pathway process to ask
questions, discuss best practices for measurement of outcomes, and
explore new technologies, partnerships and expansion of pathway
programs. Frederick M. Schnell, MD,
FACP, chief medical officer of COA, serves as a Steering Committee
member for the Congress and an editorial board member for the
Journal of Clinical Pathways.
The 2019 Congress will delve into three key topic areas:
- Implementation: Develop a successful, evidence-based pathways
program that delivers optimal patient care.
- Protocols: Understand the high-efficiency procedures that align
payer, provider, and pathway needs.
- Compliance: Learn proven policies that protect and prevent
obstacles for any pathway program.
"We are honored to partner with the Community Oncology
Alliance," said Randy Robbin,
president, NACCME, the medical education subsidiary of HMP. "This
partnership is a reflection of the importance the meeting places on
the role clinical pathways can play in providing affordable cancer
care, especially in local communities. COA's long-standing
leadership in patient advocacy and oncology practice makes this
particularly noteworthy."
Participants of the 2019 meeting will also network with experts
via case-based activities, roundtable discussions, and networking
receptions.
