                           BOARD CHANGE

ScS Upholstery plc announces that Mr Irvin Bamford, Finance
Director, has given the Board 12 months' notice of his intention
to leave the Group to pursue interests outside the furniture retail
sector.

Over the next year Mr Bamford will continue to devote his full
attention to the development of ScS while playing a key role in
ensuring that the best candidate is recruited as his successor.

ScS Chairman, Mr Tony McCann said "We thank Irvin for his
considerable contribution to the Group's development since 1991.
We wish him well in whatever he decides to do and meanwhile we
appreciate the lengthy hand-over period which will enable a
seamless transition to his successor."
