                      ScS Upholstery plc ("the Company")


                 Application for block listing of securities


The Company announces that application for a block listing of options over a
total of 1,672,500 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary
Shares") has been made to The Official List of the UK Listing Authority and
for admission to trading on the London Stock Exchange. These applications are
in respect of options over 6,500 Ordinary Shares which were exercised on 12
March 2001 and for options over 1,666,000 Ordinary Shares which have been
issued but have not been exercised. These options have been granted pursuant
to the ScS Upholstery plc Approved Executive Share Option Scheme and the ScS
Upholstery plc Unapproved Executive Share Option Scheme. Such block listing
and admission are expected to become effective on Thursday 24 May 2001.
