PURCHASE OF OWN SECURITIES

Parkwood Holdings PLC announces that on 14 December 2007 the Company purchased
for Treasury 50,000 Ordinary Shares of 1p each at a price of 115.0 per share.

The capital of the Company consists of 19,600,420 Ordinary Shares with a
nominal value of 1p each, with voting rights.

The Company holds 385,000 ordinary shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 19,215,420.
