                                Trading update

On entering the close period ahead of its interim results announcement,
Parkwood Holdings plc, the support services business, is pleased to report that
overall trading for the first six months to 30th June 2007 is in line with
expectations.

The "green services" division, Glendale, has continued to improve its
performance. Notably the Liverpool contract, which commenced in November and
has an annual value of 7.7 million, has performed well in its first eight
months. The acquisition of a landscaping business in Scotland on 29 June 2007
enables the Group to establish a base from which the Glendale division will
operate.

Parkwood Leisure continues to trade well in its public sector operations, with
increased income and margin performance. New contract awards and preferred
bidder status on other potential contracts have been achieved since the end of
2006 and the division's order book has increased by 15% to 248 million
(December 2006: 215 million). The order book figure excludes income from the
private sector health and fitness business, which Parkwood Leisure entered last
year.

The review of the Group's healthcare division, which was noted in the Annual
Report, is ongoing and a number of options are being actively considered.

The Group will continue to invest in PFI/PPP assets over the coming months and
into 2008. This is expected to increase debt and gearing by the year-end, in
line with market forecasts. The refinancing of senior debt in the Boxwood joint
venture, which was completed on 5 July 2007, has increased Group cash balances
by over 2.1 million.

Full year Revenue expectations do not rely on the Group winning any additional
business. The results for the full year will be subject to continued levels of
trading in each of the Group's main businesses and the directors are confident
that performance will be in line with market expectations.

Tony Hewitt, Executive Chairman, commented:

"The Group continues to perform well and prospects for the future are
encouraging".
