Metalrax, the niche supplier of specialist engineering and consumer durable 
products, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew John Walker as 
Non-Executive Chairman of Metalrax Group PLC with effect from 9th August 2010. 
Andrew Walker will replace Stephen Boyd, who was appointed on 1 March 2010. 
 
Andrew John Walker, an engineer aged 58, currently holds a number of non 
executive positions including Plastics Capital PLC, API Group PLC, Manganese 
Bronze Holdings PLC, Porvair PLC, May Gurney Integrated Services PLC and is non 
executive chairman at Brintons Ltd. He was Chief Executive of McKenchie PLC and 
South Wales Electricity PLC and spent his early years in various senior 
positions at Dowty Group PLC. 
 
Andrew Richardson, Chief Executive Officer of Metalrax, said:

has a very strong track record in both executive and non-executive roles, with 
involvement in a number of successful engineering companies. It is disappointing 
that we are saying goodbye to Stephen so soon after he joined, but we are 
grateful to him for his strategic contribution to the Company since his 
appointment. Our trading this year has continued to progress satisfactorily and 
the Board still anticipates that the financial performance of the company will 
be in line with market expectations."
