                          LIPOXEN PLC (the "Company")

                               Issuance of Shares

The Company has issued 500,000 ordinary shares of 0.5p each to T Hoare Nominees
Limited pursuant to the exercise of the remaining warrants granted by the
Company to Canaccord Adams Limited (formerly known as Canaccord Capital (Europe)
Limited) on 11 January 2007. The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu in all
respects with the existing issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for these shares to be
admitted to trading on AIM and admission to is expected to become effective on
26 January 2007.
