GAELIC RESOURCES PLC ("Gaelic")

At a meeting of Gaelic Warrantholders held earlier today, a special resolution
to amend the terms of the Gaelic Warrant Instrument dated 27 March, 1995 was
passed.  The passing of this resolution is one of the conditions of the
Recommended Offer by SG Securities (London) Ltd on behalf of Desire Petroleum
plc ("Desire") to acquire the Gaelic Ordinary Shares (other than those already
owned by Desire) and the Gaelic Warrants on the terms and subject to the
conditions set out in the Offer Document dated 11 September, 1999.

The Gaelic Directors accept responsibility for the information contained in
