PERSTORP FLOORING RENAMED PERGO AB

The name of the Perstorp Group's flooring operations is to be changed to Pergo
AB.  As a result, Perstorp Flooring AB will have the same name as its principal
brand, Pergo (R) laminate flooring.

The name is being changed in order to strengthen the company's independent
identity and is part of preparations for the planned listing of Pergo AB on the
Stockholm Stock Exchange during 2001.

The Pergo (R) brand holds a strong position in the international flooring
market. Market surveys show, for example, that Pergo (R) is the second most
widely known brand in the North American flooring market.

Pergo AB is an expansive flooring company with world-leading positions in the
laminated flooring market. Europe and the US account for most of the company's
sales, with South American and Asia generating smaller shares. Production
operations are conducted in Trelleborg, Sweden, and Raleigh, North Carolina,
USA. During 1999, Pergo AB had sales of slightly more than SEK 3.6 billion, with
880 employees.

The company is part of the Perstorp Group, which had sales of slightly more than
SEK 10 billion in 1999, with approximately 6,000 employees.
