Item 2.01 Completion of Acquisition or Disposition of Assets.

As previously disclosed, Arlington Asset Investment Corp. (the “Company”) entered into a purchase and sale agreement to sell 376 of the Company’s single-family residential (“SFR”) properties for $131.921 million with an expected closing date of August 19, 2022. On August 19, 2022, the Company closed on the sale of 371 SFR properties for $130.026 million to NEXPOINT SFR SPE 3, LLC. Five SFR properties with an allocated total purchase price of $1.895 million were removed from the sale transaction.
