The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Friday
Honeywell International Inc. (HON) was voluntarily recalling the
"-IV" Intelligent photoelectric smoke sensors sold with fire alarm
systems, as they could malfunction and fail to alert in the event
of a fire.
About 22,000 of the units are being recalled, the CPSC said.
This recall involves units installed mostly in commercial
buildings. The affected units weren't sold to retailers or
consumers, the CPSC said.
No injuries or incidents have been reported pertaining to these
items.
