QinetiQ Group PLC said Tuesday that it has been awarded a five-year contract with the U.S. Army valued at up to $45 million.

The London-listed defense and security engineering company said the contract--which is for one year followed by four one-year options--is the largest significant win for its U.S. leadership team and an important competitive win for the business.

The company said it will provide technical services including computing, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance at the Fort Belvoir Prototyping Integration Facility.

"This success demonstrates our strategy is working and provides further confidence," the company said.
