Turkey's current-account deficit narrowed in April compared with the previous month, the country's central bank said Monday.

The current-account deficit for April stood at $1.71 billion, compared with a deficit of $3.33 billion for March, according to the data.

Turkey's deficit also narrowed compared with the same month a year earlier, when it stood at $6.02 billion, due to a decrease in the goods deficit. The 12-month rolling deficit was $32.74 billion, the central bank said.
