Explanation of Responses:
(1)	Due to certain stock purchases effected by Third Point Reinsurance Ltd. (the "Issuer"), the beneficial ownership under Rule 13d-3 of U.S. Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (the "Exchange Act"), of Daniel S. Loeb may be deemed to have exceeded 10%. Accordingly, Mr. Loeb has filed this Form 3 to report such beneficial ownership.
(2)	Pursuant to Rules 13d-3 and 16a-1 of the Exchange Act, Mr. Loeb may be deemed to be the beneficial owner of the securities of the Issuer reported herein as indirectly beneficially owned thereby.
