LIVINGSTON, N.J., Oct. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Container
Store, the nation's leading retailer of storage and organization
products, opened its doors in Livingston,
NJ on Saturday, October 7 to
an eager group of customers. Conveniently located at Route 10 &
Eisenhower Pkwy, this store is the retailer's 89th store
nationwide and third location in New
Jersey. As part of the retailer's commitment to its
local communities, The Container Store took great pride in donating
a percentage of its Grand Opening weekend sales to The Zoological
Society of New Jersey at Turtle
Back Zoo, making a contribution totaling $17,800.
Saturday's Grand Opening was met with anticipation from local
consumers, with over 50 shoppers waiting outside for doors
to open. The first in line was The Container Store's Livingston
Super Fan, Stacy Hirschberg,
who received her own gold shopping cart decorated with Super Fan
flags and signs. Stacy submitted the winning entry for The
Container Store's Super Fan contest that asked area customers why
they considered themselves worthy of Super Fan status. In addition
to being first in the store on Grand Opening day, her Super Fan
prize package included a $250 gift
card, a box full of products from The Container Store, her own
crown and sash to wear on Grand Opening Day and an invitation to
the Private Preview Party in support of The Zoological Society on
Thursday. The celebration continued throughout the weekend as The
Container Store gave away great prizes every hour on the hour, all
weekend long, including a $1,000
elfa® Closet Makeover with installation.
In addition to enjoying all the Grand Opening Weekend
festivities, Livingston area
residents joined The Container Store in giving back to the
community. Ten percent of Grand Opening weekend sales benefitted
The Zoological Society of New
Jersey, an organization dedicated to stimulating the
public's interest in the growth, improvement, and development of
Essex County Turtle Back Zoo through education and research with an
emphasis on natural conservation of all species of animals.
"Partnering with an organization like The Zoological Society of
New Jersey is an incredible honor

Executive Vice President of Stores & Employee Development for
The Container Store. "They are truly invested in the entire
