FreeMonee Network, the world’s first and only gift network, was today honored as one of ten companies chosen globally to receive the Netexplo 2012 Award for leading the world in digital innovation. Netexplo, an independent observatory which studies the impact of digital technology on society and business, actively seeks out new, innovative companies that have made a footprint in the digital landscape. Netexplo annually selects 100 of the most promising organizations from around the world as finalists and 10 are honored with the Netexplo Award.

Held today in Paris, the annual Netexplo Forum brings together over 1,000 business, media and political executives, giving FreeMonee and other award winners the opportunity to lead interactive dialogue about new and emerging trends driving the future of digital innovation.

“We are honored to receive this award and be recognized by such an influential organization dedicated to identifying and spotlighting the world’s leaders in digital technology,” said Joe Salesky, Founder and Chief Strategy Office for FreeMonee Network. “FreeMonee is excited to be among the leaders in digital innovation at this year’s Netexplo Forum, and we look forward to continuing to help drive the dialogue on the evolution of the role of banks and other financial institutions in innovation, enabling commerce and compelling consumer value while safeguarding privacy.”

ABOUT FREEMONEE NETWORK

FreeMonee Network, Inc. (www.freemonee.com) is the world’s first and only gift network – connecting millions of credit and debit cardholders from the world’s largest financial institutions with national and local merchants. Merchants offer FreeMonee Gifts – cash incentives – to individual cardholders through their financial institutions. FreeMonee Gifts function like a gift card on an individual’s debit or credit card, allowing consumers to purchase anything they want with the designated merchant, with no strings attached. FreeMonee anonymously matches consumers to the Gifts using their proprietary Adaptive Matching Technology that analyzes card transaction data to identify the highest value consumers for merchants. FreeMonee’s AMT engine uses anonymized cardholder data, which means neither FreeMonee nor the participating merchants ever have access to a cardholder’s personal information. Consumer privacy is maintained at all times. Through partnerships with top U.S. financial institutions, the company expects 50 million households to have access to FreeMonee Gifts in 2012.
