The Board of Directors of Kenmare Resources Plc resolved on Monday the 26th
April 1999 to terminate the employment of Mr. David Horgan with effect from
today's date.

Michael Carvill, Managing Director, will be assuming responsibility for the
finance function pending the appointment of a Finance Director.  Michael
Carvill will be assisted by Tony McCluskey, Group Financial Controller and
Company Secretary.

The Board of Directors also resolved to cancel Mr. Horgan's share options at
that meeting.
