Firestone Diamonds plc ('the Company') announces that it received notification
on 16 December 2006 from AXA Investment Managers UK Limited, that AXA S.A. and
its group companies have a notifiable interest in 5,643,018 Ordinary Shares of
20p each in the Company, representing approximately 10.12% of the issued
Ordinary Share capital.  These shares are represented by a beneficial interest
of 38,018 shares (approximately 0.07% of the issued Ordinary Share capital) and
a non-beneficial interest of 5,605,000 shares (approximately 10.05% of the
issued Ordinary Share capital).


The identity of each registered holder of the shares to which this notice
relates, so far as is known to AXA Investment Managers UK Limited, as at 11
December 2006, is as noted below.
