Firestone Diamonds Plc ("the Company")

4 September 2001

On 3 September 2001, 17,391 Ordinary Shares of 20p each in the Company were
issued to Mr Michael J Hampton, a non-executive director of the Company. These
shares were issued to Mr Hampton in respect of director's fees due to him of #
10,000 and were issued at a price of 57.5p per share, representing the
mid-market closing price of the shares on 31 August being the last business
day prior to issue.

Application has been made for these Ordinary Shares to be admitted to AIM and
it is expected that dealings will commence on Monday 10 September 2001.
