                    Firestone Diamonds plc ("the Company")


Share Options granted

On 26th February, 2001, a total of 925,000 options to purchase Ordinary Shares
of 20p each in the Company were granted to Directors of the Company in
accordance with the Company's Share Option Scheme.  The options are
exercisable at a price of #0.66 per share, representing the mid market closing
price of the shares on that day and were granted to Directors as follows:

JF Kenny - 275,000

P Kenny - 275,000

H Jenner-Clarke - 275,000

J Kenny - 100,000


The options are exercisable for a period from one to ten years from the date
of grant.
